The Mind My Paws Team
There's only so many pets we can own ourselves, especially while living at home; looking after your pets gives us the opportunity to befriend so many different personalities short term.
While we all own or have owned family pets, Mind My Paws has been around since 2017 expanding from 2021. All Mind My Paws sitters and walkers are police checked and insured. We pride ourselves on our responsibility and passion to the work, hence no strangers are employed here! Only carers with a thorough personal and trusted relationship with a passion for animals are employed - unlike many other pet service companies.
When contacting us, you'll first be in touch with Monique. Monique is able to establish what you and your pet require and produce a quote. If you are interested in going ahead, Monique will match you with the most suited carer
(destined on area, service required and other needs) who will contact you shortly. A meet and greet will be organised to meet our carer and discuss further arrangements in person. After this meet and greet, Monique will contact you again to confirm your confidence with the chosen carer and to answer anymore questions, before going over payment details. Payment is required before service commencement, however, carers are not paid until the service is complete and you are satisfied.
Monique started Mind My Paws when she was overwhelmed with high demand in bookings for her pet sitting and dog walking in 2015. She discovered a niche market where pet owners were preferring a personal and trusted carer for their pets rather than using kennels. Since then she has introduced a quite a few more trusted members to her team. Monique has always had a passion for animals; growing up with a cat and dog. Monique has always worked with animal charities since she was a child either volunteering for fundraisers, promoting, raising money and even fostering for Geelong Animal Rescue. Graduating with a Bachelor of Science, Monique has done a 180 and decided to do what she loves- expanding Mind My Paws while also painting (oil paintings) on the side. Monique and James moved to Torquay in 2021. Monique and James fell in love with their foster dog Donnie who has since become a part of their family. Having a very big soft spot for animals, James is just as much involved in Mind My Paws. He's been very supportive and patient joining dog walks and helping with doggy guests at their home. Since 2023 they've since moved to Curlewis while in the process of building their home in Connewarre. Monique currently takes on the management side of Mind My Paws while also doing local walks in Torquay as well as our big group adventures with James!

Ebony started working for Mind My Paws in 2018. She has always had a love for all animals from a young age. While graduating from a Bachelor of Science and currently doing honours research Ebony looks forward to pet sitting/walking while continuing her part time job. Everyone’s pets are part of their family so creating trust between owners and their furry friends and ensuring their pets feel comfortable in their own homes is her main priority. Ebony is willing to pet sit/walk in Melbourne or down the coast. Ebony is pictured with her much loved family dog Alli.
Zoe has grown up on a livestock farm and is currently studying a Bachelor of Zoology and Animal Science at Deakin University. She has always been extremely passionate about animals and cannot wait to gain a trusting and comfortable relationship with you and your furry friend. Zoe is open to pet sitting both in Geelong and along the surf coast. Pictured below is Zoe with her family dogs, Jess and Pip.
We have a quite a few more team members who have joined us and havent quite had the chance to fill our an about us. You will see plenty of images on our instagram and facebook of the pets they care for and of course get to meet them in person before any pet sitting or dog walking begins.
